One of the most popular features of SQL Server 2008 R2 is PowerPivot, which puts business intelligence in the hands of more business users while maintaining the insight and oversight of IT. Donald Farmer, a leader in PowerPivot’s development, drew on his eclectic background to make it a success. REDMOND, Wash. – May 12, 2010 – Donald Farmer knows a thing or two about pivoting. A principal program manager of the SQL Server Business Intelligence management team, he has had a career filled with turning points that have taken him from fields as disparate as medieval archaeology and fish farming.
